Objectives

Through the proposed project our Institute establishes working on students’ welfare as much as on that of its school staff as its first objective, creating a serene, collaborative and stimulating atmosphere - all this to increase learning motivation and the wish for a long-life learning and training. By doing so we propose to create a team made up of teachers and school staff that carry on the school mission with enthusiasm and determination, through a shared and distributed leadership. The fulfilment of these objectives and how to reach them can stimulate a more European training path for our school, in order to provide those tools and attitudes that our students need to become more flexible young adults, open to what is new and different, capable of finding solutions to current problems, sourcing from all those competences that they have acquired in a formal, non-formal and informal way throughout their school path.

Background

The need to take part in an Erasmus project was born out of the school community’s need (and, as a consequence, of the entire local community) to rediscover the pleasure of learning in a stimulating and comfortable environment that respects everybody’s pace, to build and rebuild relationships among people and, broadly speaking, to acquire those key-competences suggested by the European Union, with particular attention to the so-called soft skills. Our Educational Syllabus takes school welfare into account, as much as the strengthening of language competences and the mathematical-logical scientific ones - all this through the valorisation of an intercultural education, the respect for differences and dialogue among cultures. However it is necessary to train the school staff (teachers, administrative staff and School Principal), improving their respective competences, in order to be able to reach these goals and moreover to fulfil the entire school community’s needs.
