The specific objectives of the project were: - to improve the language and specific skills of teaching staff with an impact on the students; - to introduce CLIL teaching in the first two years as well, to increase study motivation and tackling early school leaving and school drop-out. - to create new partnerships and to exchange good practice with foreign schools. Through specific teacher training on CLIL methodology, the aim was both to increase the quality of the CLIL courses already offered to students in the final classes, and to create the conditions for activating CLIL teaching courses in the initial classes of the various courses, so as to offer all of students the possibility of benefiting from an original teaching offer that would encourage them to learn languages and communicate with their peers of different nationalities.
The Erasmus project "Clil is an objective" was formulated in order to pursue two of the objectives set out in the school's European Development Plan: - to increase students' motivation to study, through the use of innovative teaching methods; - to increase the quality of the school's educational offer with particular reference to the teaching and learning of foreign languages. Specifically, the project was aimed at professional and methodological updating of the school staff through participation in training courses on CLIL methodology and job-shadowing activities in an international environment for sharing of good teaching practices.
