The aim of the project is the development of the potential of teachers. Joining the Erasmus project, the goal is to increase active participation in society, enhancing differences as a mutual enrichment, offering opportunities for language enhancement in real contexts, also through the conscious use of digital tools. Inclusion is a fundamental value for the Institute, to ensure the well-being and scholastic success of its pupils. In order to pursue these aims, a number of areas have been identified for improvement, which are well connected to the principles included in the PTOF document and linked to teachers' learning needs: -to strengthen the methodological area, it was decided to organise an exchanging experience of good practices with a school in Finland through job shadowing, through CLIL methodology course, and through the improvement of digital skills with an ICT course. -to act on the educational-didactic area, it was decided to deepen the theme of Special Needs, with a focus on Intercultural Education. -to improve the area of creating innovative environments, a course was held on creativity in teaching. English has been the main language used during all mobilities, providing an opportunity to improve language skills.
The Comprehensive school of Cossato is made up of 4 kindergartens, 6 primary schools and 2 secondary schools, welcoming approximately 1196 students, 240 teachers and 41 members of the staff. The surrounding area is characterised by the presence of a medium-low socio-economic context, with a high rate of immigration. For this reason, our school is a reference point for experimentation and didactic innovation, in order to be able to provide students with meaningful learning paths that allow them to develop European competences (long life skills), to raise their educational and living standards. The school is acknowledged as a Territorial Centre for Inclusion. Involvement in European projects provides pupils and teachers with the opportunity to open up to the European dimension and to develop the cultural and professional awareness that will permit them to enter the world of work successfully and with appropriate skills for the future. In order to be able to pursue this important long-term goal, it is necessary for the teachers of our institute to develop high level methodological-educational and educational-relational skills, as well as good language and technological skills, to provide students with the best teaching offer.
