By means of job-shadowing activities and training courses in Europe, we wanted to achieve the following objectives: - to enhance the quality and European dimension of teaching/learning process, developing empowerment and active citizenship; - to explore new possibilities by the use of ICT in learning, promoting innovation and creativity at school; - to compare the different systems of education and to learn new successful classroom management techniques; - to improve foreign language communication (mainly in English but also in French) in the teaching and no-teaching staff skills; - to prevent the early school leaving through inclusive education; - to learn innovative and effective methods and tools referring to CLIL methodology; - to integrate formal learning with the informal and non-formal one in the teaching process.
After a SWOT analysis in the years preceding this application, we were aware of the needs of our institution and especially that mobility and cooperation with other hosting schools and organisations at a European level will have ensured an added value rising from the exchange of good practices and comparison among different school systems. We had soon realized that our educational systems were outdated and failing to promote the necessary skills that will have adequately prepared our puplis for the future especially in promoting innovation and creativity at school. That's why we aimed at achieving the digital citizenship for our teachers, the improvement of linguistic skills in foreign language (above all English but also French), the improvement in managing CLIL Methodology for non linguistic subjects teachers, the integration between formal and non-formal learning, the promotion of equity and inclusion, fighting against school dropping out through international cooperation.
