With the implementation of this project, our school has set itself the following objectives: - promote training activities for teachers, aimed at the development and/or consolidation of methodological-disciplinary, metacognitive and technological skills, oriented towards “project-based teaching and learning” - enhance the language skills of school staff with particular attention to the languages of the European Union to develop skills in the field of active and democratic citizenship through the enhancement of intercultural education and peace, respect for differences and dialogue between cultures - develop students’ digital skills, also aiming at the critical and conscious use of social networks and media - enhance school inclusion and the right to study of pupils with special educational needs, thanks to the use and application of innovative methodological and technological skills aimed at enhancing differences and personalizing knowledge.
In recent years our school has focused on the development of new learning environments and a process of implementation of the multimedia technological equipment has been started. Although the didactic impact of these actions was important, not all teachers took part in this change because they weren’t supported by adequate preparation and because they did not know the didactic potential of the tools. Furthermore, our school has a long experience in the field of inclusion and hospitality and every year a large number of pupils with special educational needs attend our classes. The three-year plan of the educational offer of the school provided for the raising of the levels of education and key competences of the students, the inclusion and enhancement of differences, the compulsory, permanent and structural training of all school staff with updating plans coherent with the identified training needs and the implementation of the National Plan for the Digital School.
