We wanted: - to improve our knowledge and understanding of various ICT tools in order to create a better interactive and creative contest and develop confidence and motivation in using ICT tools, because the incredible technological advances have transformed the way people communicate, interact and work. Digital literacy has the potential to enhance lifelong learning. This includes learning through various technology platforms such the internet and remote learning. - to improve our student’s communication competences and intercultural competences by using well structured and creative cooperative learning methods and operative learning techniques, how to incorporate cooperative learning into teaching through theory and practice with the special focus on key competences and cooperative learning in multicultural/diverse groups. - to meet our teachers' demand who wanted to improve their language skills of English in order to participate to future EU projects and to international conferences, they wished a total immersion in every day cultural life to reinforce their understanding and use of English for communication in real life. We wanted to reinforce the sense of belonging to European institutions and to know different cultures.
We applied for this project, which was very valuable to our institution, because our teachers had the opportunity to take advantage of the possibilities for personal and professional development and to meet their needs. As our institution aims to involve the older generation in lifelong learning education and most of the learners are retired people, our teachers are always willing to improve their methodology in order to encourage a deeper and more interested participation in their lessons. They needed to enrich their curriculum and to have it more complete in order to meet our students' requirements, to develop and deepen skills and competences of English, to understand better different educational systems. Our institution is also constantly committed in improving and encouraging the sense of belonging to Europe, in fact we operated in the European field with two previous European Grundtvig projects, we continued with Erasmus + partnerships and with this project, therefore we have been able to enlarge our international dimension. We wanted to get in touch with diverse European cultures, organizations and teachers in order to obtain more contacts so to broaden our horizons, to share experiences with participants in the EU dimension.
