The general objective of the project was to promote the culture of lifelong learning, strengthening the technical, professional and linguistic skills of the beneficiaries, through participation in the mobility experience aimed at staff and collaborators who work permanently and occasionally in various capacities within the of the association. In particular, the implementation of the project meant: - to acquire a wider awareness of adult education in the European context; - improve the professional and linguistic skills of the participants; - facilitate the association's international innovation - foster contacts with various institutions to promote European mobility as a value and intensify intercultural exchanges of trainers and learners; - foster the emergence of a European awareness through the comparison with different realities and societies and promoting the founding values of the European Union and promoting understanding and sensitivity towards social, linguistic and cultural diversities.
As underlined in the Europe 2020 strategy, adult education systems, in order to best play their role, must take note of the changes that have taken place in the economy and society and should focus their training programs on innovation and Europeanisation. Trainers, educators, operators in the Adult Education field need effective tools to face the challenge of renewal and internationalization, they must have the opportunity to feel truly European, in order to acquire the mentality that allows them to immerse themselves in a dynamic way in contemporary dynamics. For these reasons, the non-profit organization LKL (now Associazione di Promozione Sociale - Entity of the Third Sector) has oriented its strategic choices in a perspective of internationalization and at the same time of cooperation with local organizations and in its development plan it tends to stimulate creativity and innovation, encouraging experimentation and the European vocation of its business.
