The project is a continuation of the implementation and consolidation processes of the training of all CPIA Palermo 2 staff, of the previous project "Sicily calls Europe: languages, new technologies, intercultural communication and social integration of migrants in the CPIA": updating professionalism of teachers and administrators to raise education levels, the use of innovative methodologies and tools - ICT - in teaching and learning the bridging language - English - in approaching foreigners. The objectives pursued in accordance with the European Action Plan were the acquisition of good practices in adult education and training; the acquisition of ICT skills, with reference to methods and techniques for teaching multilingual and multicultural adult learners; the acquisition of knowledge and skills necessary to structure an expansion of the training offer that ensures greater opportunities for social and work integration of Italian and foreign adult students; the acquisition of language skills in English with multi-level training courses, according to the individual needs of teachers.
CPIA PALERMO 2 operates by responding to the requests of the territory; collaborates side by side with the institutions and with the main stakeholders in the area, to adapt to the requests / needs of users. Phenomena of social and cultural exclusion such as school dropout and / or dropout or migration phenomena can be considered points of weakness and criticality to be faced but we do not consider them as such when we find useful and targeted training strategies and paths. CPIA PALERMO 2 represents the stable and widespread institutional reference point for the coordination and implementation of reception, orientation and accompaniment actions aimed at the adult population, aimed at providing support to the learning path and favoring the use of guidance services throughout the course of the life. These actions have the aim of raising the level of education, favoring the processes of social inclusion and linguistic and cultural integration of migrants. From what has been outlined, Erasmus + projects are indispensable, among other things required by the teaching staff themselves, for staff training and for the improvement of the training offer of our school.
