Objectives

According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, anti-Semitism is: "hostility or discrimination against Jews as a religious or racial group". "Anti-Semitism existed to some extent wherever Jews settled outside Palestine. In the ancient Greco-Roman world, religious differences were the primary basis for anti-Semitism. In the Hellenistic age, for example, social segregation. Jews and their refusal to recognize gods worshiped by other peoples aroused resentment among some pagans, particularly in the 1st century BC - I. Unlike polytheistic religions, which recognize multiple gods, Judaism is monotheistic - it recognizes a single god ". It would be difficult to briefly summarize the whole history of anti-Semitism, as well as give all the many reasons for it. For this reason, in the guide manual produced there is a brief historical introduction, where only some facts and the relevant particularities that the phenomenon of anti-Semitism has assumed in the course of history are exposed. Subsequently, the guide reports some stereotypes and prejudices related to the Jewish world. From these historical roots, co-design activities of Urban Games with Youth Workers have developed to subsequently implement them during a youth exchange. In the light of the current situation, the fight against anti-Semitism appears to be an element of social relevance. The European Erasmus + Echad project focuses on this sensitively perceived theme. Starting from an analysis of the topic and its historical origins, the project aims to develop and disseminate good practices that allow awareness and the fight against anti-Semitism. It is designed to be widespread in all environments where you want to shed light on anti-Semitism and its stereotypes, as well as in all environments where you want, and through non-formal learning techniques to find solutions to this question.
