Participants decided to carry out this project since they think prevention to natural disaster is something which should be provided and shared by everyone, especially in the involved countries, which are more affected by these issues. Goals set for this project are: - educating young people about safety procedures that should be followed during and after natural disasters and threats resulting from human mistakes (e.g. fires, electricity accident etc.), as well as coping with their effects; - strengthening the position of young people and encouraging active participation in social life and solving problems of their local communities; - preparing a place for creative work in an international environment; - drawing the attention of the inhabitants of Sicily to the threats of both natural disasters and human mistakes, as well as the need for education in this area and the importance of active participation in civic life; - impact on local authorities through recommendations regarding actions to solve social problems; - expanding the network of contacts and strengthening cooperation between partner organizations of the project, exchange of "good practices"; - increasing the importance of non-governmental organizations in local communities;
