Nowadays, unplanned growth of cities, environmental pollution as a result of the deterioration of environmental resources, alienation of people to their environment, increasing production and consumption have started the concern for future generations and some structuring have been needed in the living areas of societies. As a result of this concern, a sustainable development approach has emerged. In order to ensure sustainable development and rational consuming of resources, emphasis has been placed on recycling. For new products can be obtained by recycling recyclable wastes without consuming our natural resources. For example, recycling one ton of paper prevents cutting of 17 trees and energy can be saved by decreasing the number of process in production. For example, 20 metal cans can be made using the recycling method with the energy used to make a metal box with mines. In this project, the environmental sustainability approach, which is considered to contribute to the recycling process of waste, is emphasized in the development of environmental awareness. The contribution of the works with waste materials in the public sphere to the urban and environmental sustainability approach is emphasized. We wrote our project in order to develop environmental protection awareness, to reduce the consumption of materials, to use our natural resources productively by recycling assessable wastes, to encourage people to save energy, to raise awareness by explaining to people that if recycling practices are extended, less waste will go to the thrash and less space and energy will be used to transport and store these wastes, to create awareness on the fact that recycling is a productive economic investment in the long run, economical problems will arise when raw material is reduced and natural resources are consumed rapidly, recycling will create new job opportunities and opportunity for the next generations to benefit from natural resources, to contribute to our participants’ language speaking skills, gain participants with limited opportunities into the social life by offering them equality of opportunity, create the perception that everyone is a human and a sibling without any language, religion or race discrimination, to support cultural exchange and development of young people with formal and nonformal learning methods, to inform people about the importance and benefits of Erasmus Plus Program and encourage them for such voluntary work.
