Objectives

The project proposal was born from the participation of five volunteers of The Rising Stars at the "TrainingDay Erasmus + - Youth and European Solidarity Body" event. The young volunteers have acquired knowledge in the field of European mobility, active participation, but above all ESC. The contextual strong increase of NEET, a term used to describe young people who are not engaged in any form of employment, education or training, has prompted young volunteers to think how useful the ESC can be to allow a gradual activation of the same. The province of Messina has a negative record in this regard, being the cradle of many NEETs and few volunteer projects. After participating in the event mentioned above, the young volunteers enthusiastically welcomed the possibility of implementing this project proposal and the presentation of ESC projects in the near future. The five young people have contacted other volunteers from various countries and have proposed collaboration for the current project proposal and the implementation (thanks to the activities related to the exchange) of a series of volunteer projects with strong impact on society. The intrinsic objectives of the project are: - offer 36 young people from 7 countries a common space to reflect on the benefits of volunteering, active participation, mobility and cultural diversity - the design and planning of 7 ESC projects in the solidarity sector - give visibility to the benefits of volunteering and develop new tools with non-formal education to stimulate young citizens to take part in the social life of their community - increase the active participation of young people and promote active participation as an alternative to passive living and unemployment - disseminating the opportunities offered by the Erasmus + and sharing good practices for easier and more effective international cooperation - obtain greater recognition for credits and certification obtained through voluntary activities
