The project "HIGH 5! IT'S ST.ART TIME" is the natural continuation of a process started in 2015 and continued over the last 4 years with the development and implementation of 4 youth exchanges and 3 training courses/seminars in Italy, Belgium and Ireland, through which we have tested, explored and demonstrated the positive impact of street arts and social circus in working with and for young people, specifically young people with fewer opportunities (young refugees and migrants, young people with educational difficulties, young people at risk of social exclusion, young people with economic disadvantages and difficult family situations, etc.). The idea also arises from the participation in the Erasmus Plus PBA CIRCUSONICATION, organized by Mojo de Caña in November 2018, and the training TOOLS + INCLUSION, always promoted by Mojo de Caña, as well as a series of projects developed by La Fenice in parallel in the last 12 months (ILAB, YOU AR'T and A + GROUP WORK in the first place). On the occasion of these projects, and in general in these 4 years of work on ARTEDUCATION, we have been able to explore the benefits of STREET ARTS and SOCIAL CIRCUS not only on young people at risk of marginalization, but also on us, youth workers, trainers educators, volunteers, and on the organizations in which we work. The overall objective of the project is therefore to give continuity to the experience developed so far, renewing the commitment (ours and of partner organizations) to make STREET ARTS and to use ARTS as a vehicle for educational and pedagogical processes, contents and reflections. "HIGH 5! IT'S ST.ART TIME" has the ambition to bring the "St.Art method" into new territories and contexts, sharing with others the results obtained so far and confronting new realities to improve, expand and innovate the contents and St.Art's own methodologies. The project, in fact, thanks to a wide and heterogeneous partnership that touches all corners of Europe (North, South, West, East), aims to build a strong network based on the common need to give answers to and address the daily difficulties of those who work with young people in increasingly complex, multicultural and constantly changing contexts and situations. This network is designed to give sustainability to the St.Art project, promoting the creation of new project proposals and new initiatives, both locally and globally, and promoting the mutual exchange of good practices and ideas. Therefore, the specific objectives of the current proposal are: 1. To experiment and testing innovative methodologies that combine principles and values of street arts, social circus and non-formal education 2. To strengthen the skills of youth workers by providing practical tools for working with disadvantaged young people through ARTEDUCATION practices, and specifically through STREET ARTS and SOCIAL CIRCUS 3. To increase the effectiveness and quality of YOUTH WORK and actions carried out by the partner organizations, through effective ARTEDUCATION and INCLUSION practices 4. To facilitate the path of rapprochement between young people with fewer opportunities and partner organizations, using ARTS as a vehicle and a tool for communication, expression, participation and empowerment 5. To create and develop meaningful human interactions and promote true intercultural dialogue through ARTS, enhancing the diversity and uniqueness of each one and celebrating shared work towards a common goal 6. To share good practices with respect to the project themes, facilitating the creation of a network and the preparation of new project proposals with a view to sustainability and long-term commitment with respect to the St.Art project One of the fundamental characteristics of the "St.Art method" has been, over the years, the strong individual impact that these projects have had on the individuals involved, so as to transform St.Art into a WAY OF DOING YOUTH WORK THROUGH ARTS, an attitude, a way of thinking and behaving, in which STREET ARTS become a vehicle for social change and commitment. All participants involved in previous St.Art projects have acquired strong individual and group skills such as self-esteem, trust, ability to interact in intercultural contexts, respect, tolerance, solidarity, understanding of the other, ability to work in groups. The results we have achieved have inspired all the partners to continue the experience, trying to make it more sustainable and lasting. For this reason, this year we decided to create a heterogeneous and diversified partnership, with several organizations that up until now had never been involved in the "START process", or had never experienced street arts in their own work, and to share with them the best practices developed in these years, supporting and encouraging the implementation of structured follow-up activities to spread St.Art in every corner of Europe!
