VET in Lithuania mainly provide knowledge. Nevertheless, there is not enough attention for practical use, individual needs and possibilities of learners. However getting information in passive way cannot satisfy needs of contemporary labor market. Successful training experiences in EU countries shows, that applying learner-oriented training methods, can strongly effect appropriate preparation for the labor market. Training content and tasks are individualized according to everyone’s peculiarity, experience, interests and abilities. There is an effort to create favorable conditions for everyone’s self-expression and ability improvement. Trying to ensure trainings’ quality and satisfy needs of the changing labor market, PLMTC improves training methods. Learner-center approach methods can help to meet the needs and abilities of learners. By changing learning process, it is necessary to improve competences of VET teachers and training organizers. There is no posibility to acquire the such knowledge in Lithuania, because learner-centered teaching methods are not widely used in vocational schools. Therefore, in order to meet the need to improve the professional competencies of the staff, this mobility project has been developed.
