The project “Students' and Teachers' European Practice” (STEP) was designed for learners (apprentices) and profession teachers of vocational training institution to improve their occupational knowledge and practical skills. The main goal of the project was to improve the occupational knowledge and practical skills of students and teachers in order to pursue better possibilities of successful integration and competition in modern labour market. During the project implementation we planned to strengthen the collaboration with our long-term partners from Poland, Italy, Germany, Austria and Portugal and started a connection with a new partner from Spain.
The project was aimed to implement the goals of vocational training institution international development strategy 2016-2021 such as: 1. To broaden international dimension aiming to prepare learners for successful career, to give them required occupational and basic competences; 2) to develop intercultural competences of school community and improve the quality of international mobilities. Activities of the 1st strategic goal have been implemented to achieve the in international development under this project.: 1.1. and 1.2. signing of collaboration contracts with current and new partners – it was intended to sign a long term contract with the Italian partner and a contract with a new Spanish partner. 2.1. To implement KA1 projects. One project was implemented, 33 school learners plus 1 apprentice went to practice and 6 teachers had job observation mobilities abroad. Activities of the 2nd strategic goal: 1.1.; 1.2. and 1.3. linguistic (English and German) preparation. 14 participants had language self-assessment and language preparation in OLS system. 2.1. – all the learners participants had intercultural preparation. 3.1.; 3.3. – to use Europass and to evaluate the level of satisfaction with practices. The learning achievements of all the participants were evaluated by Europass mobility document and all the participants took part in the survey. The indicators of implemented activities complied with the indicators planned in the international development strategy.
