Objectives

The importance of entrepreneurship is a key competence to overcome the high unemployment rates among young people and support the rural and urban development in Europe. The project ''HOPE - Help Others Promote Entrepreneurship'' that is planned to be executed in Druskininkai , Lithuania. Dates : 10.11.2019 - 18.11.2019 will gather together both current and potential youth leaders and workers and support them in developing new skills and knowledge concerning youth entrepreneurship. There will be 30 participants from: Lithuania, Georgia, Romania, Italy and Armenia. The main aim of the project is to help the participants build up their understanding and competences concerning entrepreneurial learning as well as promote entrepreneurship in their youth work, both in rural and urban areas. Our main objectives are: - to give the youth concrete tools, methods and examples on how they can promote youth self-employment in their communities; - to learn how Erasmus+ programme tools can be utilized for further exploration of youth entrepreneurial initiative. We also want to emphasize the importance of active European citizenship in the context of the inter-cultural dialogue. The project is meant to share the best practices of entrepreneurship through different workshops. On the other hand, we would like to raise awareness about the big gap between rural and urban areas. We hope that through involving dedicated participants in the Youth Exchange as well as through the effort of the organizers it will be possible to successfully accomplish each of the objectives stated above. We are interested in open-minded participants from both the urban as well as from the rural area with a desire to gain experience in the field of youth entrepreneurship. The motivation of participants as well as their gender balance will be assured by implementing a selection process designed to choose the best candidates suitable as participants for the project. The main methodology applied that are based on non-formal education (energizers, team-building activities, role playing simulation activities, work in groups, etc.) in combination with outdoor activities. Through efficient project and workshops, we expect the participants to receive useful knowledge in the field of youth entrepreneurship which they can later implement in their community. We expect the participants to implement actions related to youth entrepreneurship in their own communities. The participating organizations will also benefit from the Youth Exchange in a way that the participants will be able to share their knowledge within the organization. In this way, the members of the participating organizations will be able to get a larger perspective on the current situation in the fields and issues tackled by the project in the participating countries as well as other countries and communities all over Europe. As a whole, the young people from rural and urban areas will be able to benefit from the project by receiving useful experience and information from the participants of the YE. Overall, the impact of the project will be providing necessary tools for youth in order to take initiative and contribute to the process of rural and urban development through means of youth entrepreneurship. The potential long term benefits will consist of improving the quality and quantity of youth entrepreneurship actions.
