Objectives

Knowing that this generation will create our future we want to improve their critical thinking and resistance for fake news since today’s world of technologies is surrounded by enormous flow of information (spam and false news are included) that it gets super confusing for them. We are aiming to engage young people from 6 European countries by focusing them to progress in critical media education, analyse existing situation with disinformation, compare how diverse it is in diverse EU countries and draw conclusions where the problem is using variety of methods and workshops. We hope young people will develop their critical thinking skills and awareness of cultural differences and similarities as well as grow mutual understanding and perception of solidarity among countries. This project will also improve participant’s judgements forming skills, deepen understanding on how social media and marketing affects the flow of fake news and raise a sense of responsibility of what to share on internet.
