Limbaži Secondary School offers general basic and secondary education for school-age pupils and general basic and secondary education programmes for adults without age limit. At present, 499 pupils are studying at the school not only from the town of Limbaži but also from other municipalities of the county, The school employs 56 teachers. The school has good achievements in teaching. Extra-curriculum activities are offered to expand pupils' interests and the scope of vision, however, reaching the age of adolescence, part of the pupils, due to the age-specific and socio-economic reasons, sometimes inforced by health issues, lose their interest in school activities. Behavioural problems in lessons occur as well as unjustified absence. As a result, the number of pupils leaving school, both at the basic and secondary level, is rising.
