Objectives

The project is intended for pedagogical staff who are interested in developing effective ways and approaches to implementing the concept of a multilingual school. The content of the project is designed to improve the quality of school education and support staff and to increase the competencies required for the job. It is important to expand the range of techniques and methods available to educators, both through traditional ones that have proven their worth over the years and through new approaches dictated by the demands of modern society and the experience gained in Europe. The education system in the world and in Europe is changing, based on today’s requirements and the strategic development of school management as education changes its paradigm and the concept of IP. The main goal of the project, based on the experience gained, is to ensure the highest possible learning efficiency and knowledge transfer to a school-based concept.

Background

21st century education is a lifelong endeavour and a part of our daily lives – it is a conscious choice and satisfaction afterwards; it is a willing to know and understand more, faster, more accurately; to study and study with understanding and pleasure, to learn from each other regardless of social, economic or health status; to learn in an environment suitable for individual requirements, using modern teaching aids. In Sustainable Development Strategy of Latvia until 2030, the overarching goal of education policy is quality and accessible lifelong learning. Society has set high standards for educators, hoping that educators will be those who play an important role in educating young people and adults. In EU teachers are seen as a key 'driver' for the development of the education system and the achievement of educational goals. Consequently, the role of educators, teachers, their lifelong learning and career development in the European Union is considered a priority. Education is important for everyone, for each family, as well as the society and the country as a whole. It is a path to the quality of a person's individual life, the creation of a knowledge society and the economic growth and prosperity of the country. In order to prepare students for a life in which opportunities and technologies are changing rapidly, it is important to change educational management methods in the education system. The role of educators needs to be changed, they need to become leaders in the process of research and the use of the process of critical valuation of information, rather than instructors in memorizing important facts and indisputable truths. Only by improving the qualification of teachers, the quality of education also increases, therefore it is very important for teachers to study regularly in various courses, seminars and projects, as well as to share experience and learn from each other.
