We wanted to achieve the following things: 1. Improvement of teaching methods by applying contemporary, modern teaching practices in order to achieve better results for a long term 2. Increasing quality of teaching staff by means of courses in EU countries 3. Boosting motivation and self-confidence of teachers 4. Increasing teacher's awareness of participation in formal and non-formal professional development through EU projects and international collaboration 5. Preparation of teachers to be more open to innovate teaching methods 6. Achievement of results that are sustainable in the long term, after the completion of the project 7. Dissemination of practices that are acquired abroad at local and regional level (workshops, regular meetings, and blogs) 8. Cooperation with various international institutions that strive to improve and modernize education 9. Implementation of e Twinning projects in cooperation with other schools
We applied for this project to start with active participation in the Erasmus + program through which we wanted to get involved in European mobility and to cooperate with EU partners. By means of training courses we started with improvement of teachers` competencies and skills. For the first time, our teachers had the opportunity to attend a European professional development course which is good for modernization and implementation of European pedagogical methods. In order to raise motivation and engagement in the classroom we encouraged teachers to be innovative and to adapt the curriculum to students` needs. The school has created a network with other institutions/schools and cooperates on an international level.
