As it is said, practice makes perfect level and gain new experiences. In this manner, we wanted to be able to continue innovating, improving our teaching methods and at the same time create a more modern and competitive environment for our students. We also wanted the students and teachers involved in the project to develop a variety of skills including: professional skills, social and multicultural, integration into different environments, responsibilities and other skills and benefits. Vocational training in European companies would also have a positive impact on a student's and teacher's motivation, attitude, self-esteem and self-confidence. With the help of this project we wanted the students to have better chances of employment, higher earning levels and increased job satisfaction.

Background

We applied for this project to increase the quality of secondary vocational education in our country: - by increasing the quality of students' practical work and - upgrading the skills of teachers in secondary vocational schools. The practical work of the students in our country is still a major problem. The organization and realization of the practical trainings of the students in the companies are limited in North Macedonia and is always based on private contacts and private relations with the stakeholders. As schools outside the capital city, we have same problem and difficulties in conducting practical training in companies. Because not all companies in towns fully correspond to the curriculum of students and our professional profiles. This is a major shortcoming of students and teachers in the implementation of professional curricula. In our country, students are required by law to attend internships, but no one takes care whether it will be properly conducted. With this project we wanted to enable our students to see and work in a real company that is related to the material they are learning.
