With this project we wished to achieve the following: (1) Increase the number of trainers and mentors in the NGO sector that are capable of engaging competently and positively with digital technologies (2) Create and adapt training materials related to strategic use of social media, media literacy, online marketing while having cultural diversity intertwined in all training materials and events. (3)Enhance the capacities within the organisation to better promote and clarify the benefits of the digital transformation to all citizens without discrimination. To reach the third objective we wished to address the following with this project: a) seek new methods and tools on training methodology as well as development of key training competences of staff on how to design training courses for low skilled adults, how to become better trainers themselves; b) develop/improve teaching and training content on NGO communications strategy, focusing on digital competences; c) develop/improve teaching and training content on shrinking civil space and how CSOs can respond through counter-narratives and digital media literacy; d) improve teaching and training content on creating Effective Campaigns through storytelling and positive narrative.
Metamorphosis Foundation is strategically committed to support CSOs in developing their digital skills and competences so as to improve their communication strategies, as well as a means of thriving in a setting of shrinking civil space. This project was an excellent opportunity to enable us to improve internal capacities and expand the existing curricula so as to give depth to our training materials as well as to adapt them for a more diverse audience.
