We feel that the strict structure of formal education is one of the major culprits that is causing anxiety, stress and lack of mental wellbeing among some young people with the result that some of them lose their enthusiasm for learning In line with the “Europe 2020 Strategy, that supports the Rethinking of Education” our project “Youth work with a difference” created a space for youth workers, youth leaders and teachers to experiment with the introduction of youth theatre techniques and methods as an alternative, innovative and creative learning approach in youth work and in schools. Thus, our main aim was to enhance the competences of youth workers to be able to enhance enthusiasm in the learning process of their youth through the introduction of youth theatre methods in youth work Objectives of our project In line with our main aim to introduce an alternative, innovative and creative learning approach in youth work and in formal education that will increase enthusiasm in the learning process of youth, we identified seven (7) objectives: 1.
