Objectives

In general, the objective has been formulated as 'advancement promotion in adult education in the context of lifelong development'. This therefore concerns vulnerable target groups (adults and non-adults) for whom we want to reduce the distance to the labor market or further education. These are in particular people integrating, low literate people, entrance students and ISK and practical school students. The following objectives have been formulated within this project: • 3 visits per year, with 2 employees per roc participating in each visit. This means 6 groups of 10 in total, so participation by 60 participants; • Acquire knowledge and increase expertise in the field of 21st century skills for the target groups mentioned; • Develop teaching materials aimed at target groups in the field of 21st century skills; • Gain insight into didactic methods in other countries; • Gaining insight into organizational and educational success factors with regard to promoting progression.

Background

Adult education is an important part of the European spearhead 'Lifelong development'. Lifelong development becomes much more difficult for target groups that have a (more) difficult relationship with education for various reasons. We see these target groups in adult education, but also within, for example, practical schools, ISK and entrance training courses. It is therefore a challenge for teachers to use the (subject) didactic knowledge and skills in such a way that the finishing line in the education program for these target groups stimulates further development. To make this project more effective for the region, the forces of 4 Brabant ROCs ROC Ter AA, ROC de Leijgraaf, Education Group Tilburg and ROC West-Brabant and Da Vinci College from Dordrecht have been bundled. Employees of the ROCs indicate that they need a further deepening of personalized methods in order to better connect with the different cultures they are dealing with. Broadening this knowledge and skills of this theme by learning from foreign partners is therefore a good thing.
