Velocity of the Future is a project which combines our interest in ecology together with developing entrepreneurial skills in order to positively impact youth in their preparations for their future careers. In lines with the 2019 EU Green Week and the environmental agenda, we, as youth, seek to achieve a higher competences in environmentally friendly practices, and learn more about sustainable development in the realm of business. Not only do we want to develop our skills but we also want to put those newly learned attitudes and capabilities into practice by implementing a campaign aimed at inspiring our communities to have a sustainable mindsets. The overall objective of the Velocity of the Future project is to improve our environmental sustainability through innovative actions. We believe that those actions should be led by the young people, therefore in the course of two activities, we will first provide a foundational understanding of the complexity of present ecological challenges, learning about environmental contexts from different European countries, political factors that contribute and what young people can do in order to make the change. Then the second activity aims to stimulate young participants to take more proactive roles and through their undertakings they should be the champions of change, particularly undertaking sustainable entrepreneurial projects. Therefore, we deeply believe that Velocity of the Future will be a robust project that will lead to empowerment of youth.
