Successful results would be more enthusiastic teachers in the target group (teachers of common core subjects) and counseling staff, providing better learning opportunities for their students and finally better end results. On the organisational level we envisage an impact from the mobility experiences on the ongoing regional processes/revision of in-service training plans and schedules.
National and regional statistics and reports show that the rate of population with higher education in Nordland County is below the national average. In addition, the county has lower rates, than national average, participating in education programs preparing students for higher academic education. This project seeks to fight this trend. The background for this project was a wish to incorporate mobility and internationalisation as a tool promoting in-service training for teachers of common core subjects (languages, sciences, social studies) and personnel related to student counseling and career guidance.
