The purpose was for the teachers to learn new teaching methods that would increase the students' motivation, to better understand the school system in other European countries and get to know their partner schools better.
In 218 a new international strategy for schools were implemented. The strategy emphasises the importance of international relations between schools as a mean to enhance the quality of teaching. Therefor The Education Agency of Oslo applied for this project to increase teachers' competence related to the subjects they teach, increase the motivation of students and strengthen the cooperation between upper secondary schools in Oslo and schools in other European countries.
