We were aiming to make our pupils better equiped to handeling contemporary needs in our society. The situation is complex, and the goals define what we wanted to focus on. The first point is normally easy to measure, albeit, due to Covid-19, this has been harder the latter years.
We applied for funding for several reasons. We focused on the following: 1) Recruit more pupils to vocational studies. 2) Provide our pupils with international experience in an increasinly international job market. 3) Learn English, both in a professional setting as well as a cultural one. To be able to speak English at work is increasingly important and will be of vital importance in the future. 4) Cultural understanding. The pupils learn to handle professional roles in meeting new cultures. In our society, which is increasingly multicultural, it is of vital importance to know how to treat people appropriately in relation to the different cultures. 5) Creating equity among teachers. By taking part in a project, making sure that teachers are more involved and feel ownership in the process.
