Objectives

Considering the global world today, it is most probable that the students in Health care and Restaurant and Food processing will need a competence in the field of communication with other cultures and nationalities. Many will also experience that English language skills are not enough to communicate with people in their field of work. Work practice in the Czech Republic is thus a very good practice. Here the students are daily confronted with people who have little experience with the English language, but communication is essential to have the work done in a satisfying way. Storhamar Upper Secondary Schhol wants to continue the cooperation with Střední scholastic hotelnictvi a gastronomie Czech in Prague, Czech Republic. Our school has participated in international projects with them since 2002. Students have had work practice in Children and Youth studies and Food Processing. In 2016 and 2017 it has also been possible to offer students work practice in Health care. We also have a joint agreement for work practice with Střední odborné učiliště a Střední odborná škola SČMSD in Znojmo, Czech Republic. This school is situated in a wine district at the border of Austria. Both schools can facilitate good work practice where our students are able to experience different challenges and tasks in their respective fields.
