Objectives

"Don't wish for it, work for it". The European Union has demonstrated its conviction of the pivotal role of the youth in the building of the European project. In its Communication on Building a stronger Europe: the role of youth, education and culture policies, the Commission highlights the vital role played by education, youth and culture in building the future of Europe. Nevertheless, it is a not contestable fact that regular educational systems are not sufficient to lay a foundation for the youth to develop their potentials maximally and to participate actively in the social life. RISING BALLERS NORGE doesn't wish for it. It works for it. OBJECTIVES - To promote physical and mental wellbeing among youth with disabilities and fewer opportunities - To give the participants a unique opportunity for intercultural exchange and strengthen values like solidarity, democracy, friendship, etc. - To raise the awareness of a healthy, active lifestyle among people with disabilities and fewer opportunities - To involve participants who have rarely or never been abroad in Erasmus+ project RISING BALLERS NORGE believe that the youth exchanges are going to have an incredible immediate but also lasting impact, due to their unique structure. We have worked hard to create a project which will be efficient in the long run and which will directly affect an important amount of youngsters. The project is geared towards increasing tolerance and understanding among youth, enabling them to develop a transferable skill set, which they can confidently use with society. Throughout the development of the project, RISING BALLERS NORGE respected all Erasmus+ 2019 priorities which were taken into account and are directly affected. By engaging disadvantaged youngsters, we are reaching out to marginalized young people and fighting against social Exclusion among youth. Ensuring the participation of people with different backgrounds, we are promoting diversity, thus guaranteeing intercultural and inter-religious dialogue. Using essential tools, skills and entrepreneurial knowledge to support our participants' personal and professional development, we equip them with competences and methods needed for transferring the common fundamental values. The project also aims to increase the capacity, attractiveness and international dimension of participating organizations to better respond to the needs of young people with fewer opportunities and offer activities to empower and promote active European citizenship among youth.
