This activity was developed through active involvement of all partners, based on evaluation results received from our previous youth exchanges, feedback sessions and participants’ proposals. Moreover, the importance of implementation of this project grounds on recent research and statistics in the youth field. For instance, this demand was confirmed during a streaming meeting of EC capacity building activities in the field of youth (EECA/Tunisia), where the representatives underlined the great importance of entrepreneurial education in the field of youth and their involvement in social entrepreneurial activities. In its "Unemployment statistics" journal Eurostat notices that youth unemployment rates are generally much higher, even double or more than double, than unemployment rates for all ages. Another source states that young people aged 18 to 24 are the most likely to be at risk of poverty or social exclusion. What is for rural youth, the situation is even worse, since they face additional social, geographical and economic hardships. To this end, a youth exchange was proposed to view crowdfunding as an alternative, innovative source of funding for rural startups and initiatives, likewise exploring business modelling and related modern digital tools. The whole project will be based on non-formal tools and methods of education which will foster participant's learning process. Thus, the main objectives of the project are: • To develop sense of initiative & entrepreneurship; • To enhance participant’ entrepreneurial and digital literacy; • To provide a deep knowledge and practical competencies in developing business plans; • To explore crowdfunding as an alternative, innovative tool of funding creative business ideas and social initiatives; • To Increase participants' awareness about micro economical youth opportunities; • To provide state of the art digital skills and competencies needed for successful crowdfunding campaigns; • To increase cultural awareness and sense of tolerance; • To Explore the possibilities of the Erasmus + program as a tool for youth employment, mobility and entrepreneurship; • To identify the competencies that can be obtained through EU different non-formal education programs and their certification by Youthpass, etc.
