Objectives

Achievements we want to reach with the Greenability project: To find possible answers and methodologies in youth work for the problem of climate change and environment protection. These are challenges of our times and youth workers have big responsibility in including and educating disadvantaged young people in the topic of sustainability. Inclusion of young people coming from disadvantaged background. With the method of creative recycling we want to include the target groups of our youth workers, so they have equal chances to contribute to innovation, sustainability, recycling and design. To raise the quality of non formal educational programs by passing the method of creative recycling to youth workers and giving them skills and tools to plan and implement it in the future. By practicing creation art therapy youth workers Youth workers coming from 5 different countries come together for the training course to learn about the method of creative recycling in non-formal sustainability education. During the training they make plans individually and in country groups how to implement the method in their work with disadvantaged young people. We want to achieve that creative recycling and simple DIY techniques become more known and used in youth work in general and especially in sustainability education. With the dissemination events we want to reach 800 young people directly. Desired achievement is that youth workers use the method on long-term, and add their own parts and ideas to the method. Objectives of the project: • to promote inclusion, creativity and ’network thinking’ in general and in youth work by using the method of creative recycling • to equip youth workers with the method of creative recycling to be able to react on environmental issues in an innovative way, transfer it to their work and reach wide public • to include disadvantaged young people into non-formal sustainability education • to empower youth workers to become active citizens, through sharing of critical knowledge and understanding of a sustainable way of living
