Objectives

The school assumed the improvement of language competences by the project participants, which translated into a greater opportunity to participate in other international projects carried out by the ZS, CKU w Gronowie. Better knowledge of the language will allow the use of information contained in the Internet on English-language websites as well as methodological and subject literature also written in this language, which will diversify the lessons. It was assumed that the participation of teachers of various subjects would result in the transfer of information on the methods of work and teaching of a given subject to other members of subject teams, which actually was the case. The experience exchange allowed the use of new, more attractive teaching methods in the classroom. The mobility was supposed to allow for a more conscious transfer of information about the European Union and the diversity of its countries. Training the teaching staff and school management was to increase the attractiveness of the school in the region, attract more students and allow for further development. By disseminating the project, the School planned to consolidate its image of the European School not only among students and inhabitants of the region.

Background

The implementation of the project in question was and is important for ZS, CKU w Gronowie, because it is in line with the vision of school development contained in the strategic documents applicable for the school, i.e. in the "Concept of the functioning and development of Zespół Szkół, Centrum Kształcenia Ustawicznego w Gronowie in years 2016-2021 ". Improving language skills is of strategic importance for the school in the context of numerous contacts that the school establishes not only with other foreign educational institutions, but also with foreign local government institutions and employers. The project was also significant for language teachers. The specificity of teaching a foreign language means that the most effective methodological courses for this group are those held in the country whose language is the language taught by a given person. Another reason why it is important for the school to implement the discussed project is its networking dimension. During the courses, experiences and ideas were exchanged, which may result in plans of other projects, which this time would also include school students.
