Detailed objectives: - learning in 2 years by 16 certified teachers teaching in a general secondary school, innovative teaching methods through participation in job shadowing at a school in Portugal - the acquisition of the skills of using innovative teaching techniques and tools by 16 certified teachers in a general secondary school within 2 years, - learning within 2 years by 16 certified teachers teaching in general secondary school, educational methods and communication tools in a virtual environment - acquiring, within 2 years, by 16 certified teachers teaching in general secondary school, the knowledge about the lifelong education of teachers in Portugal.
The school applied for the project because: - there is a need to strengthen the motivation for the lifelong education of certified teachers, in particular in the use of ICT tools in education, as their competences in this area are insufficient, - teachers use classical teaching methods that are still effective; however, the expectations of students and parents in the area of increasing teaching innovation are clearly growing, - among teachers who have achieved the degree of certified teacher, the motivation to lifelong learning and the use of new, innovative methods and tools of work decreases - international cooperation of the school is an important factor in the education and upbringing of students and parents and teachers appreciate the possibility of getting to know other educational systems, cultures and societies thanks to this cooperation - The I SLO, due to its specificity (individualization of education, small groups, experience in working with a student with special needs), will have to work even more intensively in the future to use modern educational tools - teachers' language competences are insufficient in relation to the challenges and needs
