One of the main aims of the project was development of bilingual teaching system- by finding out new techniques of blilingual teaching by teachers, increasing the number of students taking their baccaulareate exams on a bilingual level and expanding the offer of bilingual teaching with new subjects. Another important aspect was raising of linguistic skills and competences by teachers (higher language skills, higher level of English teaching, higher level of bilingual teaching). What is more, we would like to raise the effectiveness and innovation of didactic process in our school. It was supposed to be made by means of dissemination the use of modern technology tools in didactic process. Improvement of our students' results of external exams, better school management, making lessons more attractive by applying methods learnt from other European teachers and the use of activating methods in the classroom were another important aspects for us. Finally, we wanted to develop international cooperation for our students and teachers.
Our school recognises the need for versatile language teaching comprising specialistic terminology learnt during bilingual classes. However, it requires constant development in linguistic and methodology department. That is why, we decided to send our teachers for courses in English speaking countries, as it enables to intensify the use of English language. Except for a few hour courses, living among people who do not speak Polish, our teachers were forced to polish their language skills on everyday basis. Moreover, the level of English of the teachers on the course is the highest possible- contact with native speakers exposed our teachers to the proper accent and vocabulary used not only inside the classroom, but in real-life situations as well. Having the opportunity to meet other European teachers provided our teachers with good practices used by their colleagues. Moreover, sharing interesting materials or establishing cooperation on an international level was possible. Acquiring cultural knowledge by our teachers was a crucial issue as well, as it should be valuable not only for English teachers, but raise the quality of bilingual teaching, too.
