Objectives

OBJECTIVE 1 - learning through experience Each course and job shadowing was an opportunity for our teachers to exchange and improve their teaching methods. By doing so we wanted: - to make the process of teaching more atteactive and effective, - make students more self motivated, - improve students' soft skills which are inevitable these days. OBJECTIVE 2 We wanted to raise the students’ feeling of responsibility by: - creating democracy foundations -The School Constitiution, - extending the list of our school subjects implementing Formative Assessment; teachers attended various FA courses. OBJECTIVE 3 We wanted to develop multilingual competences of our teachers and also enable them to be: - mentors for students having a great command of languages, using CLIL method, - more knowlegeable in the growing numer of various projects. OBJECTIVE 4 We wanted to improve teachers and students’ self-presentation skills in connection with the frequent presentation of project results (educational, eTwinning and others) in front of an audience. We wanted teachers to gain tools to develop this kind of skills in students. Despite having some of our trips cancelled, mostly caused by pandemic,we were able to achieve all of our goals.

Background

Having analyzed the needs of the school - based on the previous Comenius/Erasmus projects as well as the demands of students (Students Council) and parents (Parents Board) we identified four objectives: 1.Teaching through experience. Our goal is to change the teacher's role from a supervisor to a mentor who motivates, inspires and supports the students' learning process. We want the learning process to be accompanied by emotions and to be a question-evoking so that the students could develop the ability of teamwork and peer to peer learning. 2.Raising the students' feeling of responsibility for themselves, their school and their community. Stimulating students' internal motivation to learn instead of the external one represented by the grading scale. 3.Improving multilingual skills of students and teachers in response to numerous international projects ongoing in our school, and to meet the expectations of our students' parents as well as the job market. 4.Developing students' autopresentation skills which will let them reduce the feeling of anxiety and stress while increasing their feeling of security at the same time so that whilst communicating with their peers and teachers from abroad they could feel confident and be open.
