We wanted to educate our staff and increase the language competences of the participants by one degree according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) classification, so that it could carry out the school's tasks in a creative, modern and effective way. An important aspect is also the sharing of acquired knowledge with other teachers operating in specific areas of teaching and breaking the language barrier and acquiring effective communication skills used for administrative and management purposes of the school and in situations of contacts with our foreign partners. We also wanted to create new, attractive original curricula for vocational subjects in all fields of education and introduce the teaching of professional subjects of economics, catering, hotel and related to advertising, the CLIL method or with elements of a foreign language. We also wanted to implement the eTwinning platform and its projects effectively and to ensure that teachers in the language course were convinced of the legitimacy and how ICT was used.
We applied for the implementation of this project due to the need to improve the language skills of school management and our teachers - especially vocational subjects. In addition, it was necessary to modernize the curricula and adapt them to the needs and capabilities of our students in order to counteract their social exclusion. We wanted to use new tools of work in teaching and international cooperation and develop the school towards Europe as well as strengthen its international reach.
