Expanding the skills of effective cooperation in a team of teachers, partners and students at school, national and international levels, 5. Strengthening the European dimension of educational and cultural activities of the school, promotion of European values in the local and international environment.

Background

Project Modern School in Modern Europe was a natural continuation of the activities of the staff and students in the European dimension in previous years, treated as a starting point for the further development and modernization of the school. It was also a response to the weaknesses identified in some areas of the organization in terms of adapting to European standards of work and education, based on surveys conducted among the school community. During the analysis preceding the preparation of the project, the following needs in the area of mobility and European cooperation were diagnosed: • improving the skills and qualifications of teachers (with particular emphasis on their linguistic, methodological, ICT and cultural competences), • improving the quality of teaching subjects, including those taught bilingually, improving the knowledge of skills related to new technologies, organizational solutions and methodology of teaching subjects, • increasing the qualifications of students by organizing preparation for bilingual teaching and project methods as part of pedagogical innovation, and thus improving the professional and soft skills of students, • increasing staff mobility • increasing the European dimension of the school
