By implementing the CURIE project, we wanted to increase the organizational potential of the I Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Maria Skłodowskiej-Curie in Ostrzeszów. This was to be done by participating in the observation of the work of the headmaster of the Italian school (job shadowing), teaching assignment for Italian youth, and linguistic and linguistic-methodological training for the staff of our facility. We assumed that: 1. The principal will gain new experience and learn about new working methods by observing the work of the management of a high school in Italy. An important element was to exchange good practices and increase the linguistic competence of the director in communicative communication in English. 2. An English teacher will conduct classes for young people from a partner school with a high school in Italy in English. 3. Two English teachers - were to take part in language and methodological training in order to improve their language competences in the field of teaching English and gain knowledge about new ways and methods of teaching (e.g. CLIL - introducing elements of a foreign language during classes with other subjects), which will increase the attractiveness of classes and improve the results of teaching foreign languages at our school. 4. Eight members of the teaching staff were to acquire linguistic competences in the field of English at various levels of proficiency (determined after the diagnostic test language skills). Half of them were to undergo methodological and linguistic training using the flipped teching method. 5. The school secretary and the librarian - they were to learn the basics of the English language and meet people representing similar positions in foreign schools. 6. By gaining experience in implementing EU projects, mobility participants will overcome barriers and it will be easier for them to write new projects for both staff and students. The acquired contacts will allow for cooperation and conducting online classes between schools from different countries on Internet platforms (e.g. eTwinning, Skype, Microsoft Education), which in the future was to result in youth exchanges. 7. Thanks to the mobility of teaching staff, the European awareness among students will be strengthened, as well as tolerance of young people towards different cultures, behaviors and religions thanks to it. With their personal example, teachers will set a good example for their students to learn a foreign language, as well as sensitize them to cultural diversity and the idea of lifelong learning. 8. By improving language competences and introducing modern teaching techniques, the quality of school work and its perception in the local environment will increase 9. The competitiveness of schools in the Ostrzeszów poviat and neighboring poviats will increase, as well as the increase of attractiveness among potential (future) students.
The mobility of school education staff is part of the broader and long-term development strategy of the I Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Maria Skłodowskiej-Curie in Ostrzeszów. Such needs are also indicated by the vision and mission of our school in Ostrzeszów, the Development Strategy of the Ostrzeszów local goverment, many analyzes as well as formal and informal contacts of all sides of school life as well as people and institutions cooperating with our institution. According to them, the key needs of our school are: 1. It will become a modern and innovative institution, at the same time remembering its over 100 years of educational and cultural heritage. 2. Achieving high teaching results, continuous work on their improvement. 3. Winning laurels in olympics and subject competitions as well as sports competitions. 4. Caring for a wide range of extracurricular activities and the possibility of students' development on many levels. 5. Shaping the European dimension of the school, the European awareness of its employees and students. 6. Cooperation with foreign schools and joint implementation of projects with them. 7. Raising the skills and qualifications of their employees. 8. Equal opportunities for teachers and students of different social and material status. 9. Concern for high patriotic, European, ethical and moral values. 10. Disseminating the idea of volunteering and tolerance. 11. Active cooperation with various associations, organizations and universities in the country and abroad. Foreign cooperation for the implementation of such plans. It gives an opportunity to use the good practices of other schools, ongoing support for didactic and educational work and improvement of the current state of affairs. Therefore, one of the priorities of our school is to pursue trips and foreign contacts between our staff and the youth of our school. Out of the many needs of the I Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Maria Skłodowskiej-Curie in Ostrzeszów resulting from the European Development Plan, the management together with the Erasmus School Team decided to select the most needed in the near future: 1. Raising the language qualifications of employees so that the school meets the expectations of students and their guardians in contacts with foreign schools, as well as the development of interdisciplinarity. Communicative ability to use the above-mentioned languages would give our teachers the opportunity to communicate freely, and at the same time constitute a model to be followed by our students. The need for international cooperation is getting to know the culture of a foreign country. It also seems necessary to have language skills by the school secretary, the person who first contacts by phone or in person with foreign guests and the librarian-person coordinating the work of the School Information Center. In addition, we wanted one of the English teachers to conduct classes at a school abroad, gaining new experience, and the school head to observe the work of his foreign counterpart and thus enrich the skills regarding ways of working and solving problems in a different environment and other realities, and enrich the head-manager's workshop. educational 2. Application of modern teaching methods in the field of education and observation of other, modern organizational solutions concerning the didactic process. The use of elements of integrated teaching and inverted teaching was to enable the improvement of the quality of education, the attractiveness of classes as well as the creativity and innovation of teachers. By participating in the project, they should be motivated to introduce elements of the English language and enrich the classes with foreign-language materials in science, science and humanities. 3. One of the foreign language teachers was to gain new professional experience, which is teaching assignment by a teacher in a foreign school. 3.By working during formal and informal meetings of the staff, school staff and students were to broaden their horizons and worldview, in order to shape tolerance and openness towards other cultures and nations, promote the ideas of lifelong learning, and consolidate and develop the image of the school in the local environment. as active and dynamically developing, which in its work uses all methods of training. 4. Consolidation and strengthening of the school's position on the map of southern Wielkopolska as a forge of well-educated young people prepared by competent, constantly developing and drawing on the experience of teachers from other countries. 5. Provide equal opportunities - the possibility of training trips abroad to teachers who cannot afford such a trip, or they are inhibited by their fear of not adapting to the conditions. 6. To convince primary school graduates to consider even more seriously the choice of our facility as the one whose employees, while caring for their own development, help in their own development. This is how you can increase the competitiveness of our school.
