Objectives

The main goal was to improve the quality of the school's work through weekly job shadowing visits to partner schools in Portugal, Spain, Romania, Turkey, the Netherlands, Italy and Finland. We wanted to exchange experiences, share the acquired knowledge and good practices. We wanted to learn from our partners some solutions to optimize education and school's management processes. It was important for us that the knowledge acquired by mobility participants, supported by new skills, contributed to the improvement of the functioning of our school and the internationalization of teaching and learning. It was also important that new foreign contacts would result in new international projects. The main goals of the project were: - improving the functioning and quality of the educational offer of our school; - increasing knowledge and changing attitudes of school employees; - increasing the professional competences of school employees in the field of facility management, innovation and ICT tools; - increasing sensitivity to social, linguistic and cultural diversity; - the ability to meet the needs of disadvantaged students; - building a learning school culture; - implementation of solutions and knowledge gained during foreign mobility.

Background

We wanted to improve the functioning of our school, as was indicated in the results of the internal evaluation. The areas that needed improvement in our school included: - the use of modern technologies in the classroom; - individualization of the teaching process; - using the full potential of the student; - CLIL implementation; - employee improvement. It was important that the participation of the school staff in the project changed the awareness of the school community about the teaching process and the use of new technologies at work. Additionally, as the name of the project indicates, we wanted to find new sources of inspiration, develop innovative teaching methods and assess students' achievements, improve the level of key competences and skills and the ability to act on the EU level. Job shadowing visits were supposed to enable the staff not only developing language competences, but most of all looking for new inspirations for work, improving individual work with students, learning about innovative methods of working in the classroom, with particular emphasis on ICT tools, so that both teachers and students would enjoy the educational process.
