Objectives

The aim of the project was to implement a plan to improve the quality of work, taking into account European priorities. Our needs resulted from the need to develop the school team, who wanted to be creative and effective. The conducted needs analysis allowed to identify the key areas that needed improvement: strong support for teachers by developing management skills and promoting equality, active citizenship, non-discrimination of people from different backgrounds (including migrant families); equipping the teaching staff with tools to support dysfunctional youth with special needs, as well as to raise language competences, shape openness to cultural and linguistic diversity, use modern technologies and creative teaching methods. The assumption of the school was to gain a wider knowledge of the strategies and systems in the field of education in EU countries, personal development of teachers, which will affect the long-term improvement of the quality of education in our institution. In the long run, the implementation of mobility activities would allow for better teaching results, improvement in the pass rate of external examinations, and increase in the attractiveness of both the teaching profession and the institution itself.

Background

Our institution, wanting to develop and gain experience in various areas of mobility and European cooperation, planned activities that fit into a broader,long-term strategy for the development and modernization of the school, included in the “Concept of the school's work”.A long-term action was to provide as many teachers as possible with mobility support on various topics.Needs were identified on the basis of an analysis of teachers' needs and observations of those managing the institution, which were fully consistent with the objectives of the EPR.Our priority was to increase the creativity of the school team,to extend the mobility of teachers, especially those who had never taken part in international activities before,to develop management skills, to support teachers on the path of professional advancement ,to improve the quality and effectiveness of teaching,to learn foreign languages,to increase social competences and intercultural ones, thanks to being in a multicultural environment,to develop modern teaching tools and methods, to conduct educational classes in schools with a different education system and observe work in foreign institutions, to feel a sense of European identity and acquire new European partners for cooperation.
