Background

One of the reasons was the fact that our school is an institution where teachers keep on improving their competence and qualifications trying to meet today’s youth’s needs and to keep up with the changes in education as well to actively raise the quality of work through self-development. The aforementioned actions and the implementation of the school’s needs all aim at widening open mindedness and making European bonds so that our pupils are able to grow. Moreover, with a significant support from the headteacher and cooperation with the lead authority, our school has been boosted with television studio equipment, various robots like mBots, Rangers and Lego, as well as multimedia screens, smartboards and tablets. To utilise these most effectively it was necessary to participate in a range of courses. There are integration classes, classes with students of different disabilities and, in consequence, a quite high number of psychological and pedagogical support teachers who felt like self-developing and strengthening their knowledge and skills. Based on previous experience with European programmes we decided participation in courses with Erasmus+ grant was the best opportunity to meet our needs and expectations.
