Background

The education reform in 2017/2018 have brought significant possibilities and changes to the school. Newly hired teachers who had experience with the Erasmus+ programme initiated joint meetings and conversations with the staff of the school where the Erasmus+ project had never been implemented. The project was a response to the needs of the school, which in the era of easier access to electronic devices and the Internet has become an attractive institution for the young generation, for whom so called „traditional” lessons were not very attractive. The implementation of the project strengthened the quality of the institution's work and gave it a European dimension by improving competences, the level of foreign language skills, educating digital and methodological competences of teachers, introducing innovative activities, new methods and techniques of work, establishing cooperation with foreign institutions, shaping a modern management model, implementing international projects. Teachers have gained and exchanged experiences with teachers from EU countries, implemented good practices in kindergarten and school. Despite its rural location, ZSP nr 2 in Sarnów has become a modern and innovative institution of a modern European school.
