Objectives

We wanted to encourage staff to participate in foreign courses, thus supporting the ideas of lifelong learning and bring the school closer to achieving the overarching goal of counteracting early school leaving and combating unemployment among graduates of our school. The activities planned in the project were to expand the group of foreign partners of the school by two new institutions. By organizing the m.in Open School Day, participation in Educational Fairs, conferences organized by the Managing Body, enable the exchange of experience and dissemination of project results among local employers and school partners, in the local environment. We wanted to create an English and German version of the website dedicated to the activities of the project. Participation in foreign trainings was to raise professional complaints in the field of: IT technology of the XXI century, modern principles of group work, health and safety in educational institutions, ENNEAGRAM typology. Language competences in the use of English among teachers participating in the project and among students were to be increased. Participation in the courses was to improve the interpersonal and intercultural skills of teachers.

Background

"Only those who have a clearly defined goal and an irresistible desire to achieve it win". This maxim of Napoleon Hill guides the Internationalization Strategy of the School developed in 2018, which preferred the institution to obtain a Quality Charter for Mobility in the Vocational Education and Training sector. The multifaceted analysis carried out allowed to outline the vision of the development of the District Complex No. 10 of Mechanical-Electrical Schools named after Nicolaus Copernicus in Kęty for the years 2019 – 2023. Strategic and operational goals have been defined, the implementation of which will contribute to the school's international development. The implementation of the project "High competence of staff is the key to students’ success" was to contribute to the implementation of the strategic goals indicated in the Internationalization Strategy of the School: I. Creating the image of the institution as an institution actively involved in international cooperation. II: High competence of the staff is the key to success in students. III: The graduate of the school has the knowledge and skills to meet the requirements of the local, national, and international labor market.
