Objectives

We wanted to increase the number of teachers who would meet the bilingual teaching requirements (we needed biology, computer science, chemistry and physics teachers who would be qualified to teach their subject in English), Due to numerous initiatives and projects, we needed management staff who could speak English fluently. The goals of our school in connection with participation in the project were: - improving the qualifications of the staff already teaching their own subject in English and enriching their work techniques, which was to contribute to greater attractiveness of lessons and increase the competences of students, - increasing the motivation of teachers (in particular teachers of biology, computer science, chemistry and physics) to obtain the necessary qualifications for bilingual education, - the acquisition of new skills in teaching the subject by English language teachers in bilingual classes, enriching their work methods with new attractive methods and using them while working with students, - increasing the language competences of the management staff.

Background

As a school with bilingual departments, we planned to develop in this direction by expanding the school's offer with new profiles with bilingual education. The main goal was to raise the qualifications of the teaching staff already teaching their own subject in English and to enrich their work methods. Another goal is to increase the motivation of others teachers (in particular biology, IT, chemistry and physics teachers) to acquire the necessary qualifications for bilingual education and to improve the language competences of management staff. We wanted our school to be an attractive institution for students, a constantly training staff that stands out among other schools, and that our teachers effectively convey the ideas of European education to students.
