We had several goals related to the implementation of this project. It was mainly: - developing the ability to communicate in a foreign language of our staff, enabling international cooperation, - building professional competences and equipping teachers with knowledge and skills in the field of Montessori pedagogy, programming and robotics, the use of ICT in education, developing soft skills of students and teachers, - extending the didactic offer of the school through new extracurricular activities, - efforts to introduce French as an alternative to Russian as a second foreign language, - strengthening the image of the school;
In recent years, the student profile of our school has changed significantly. We have turned from a six-grade school into an eight-grade school. This caused many challenges that we had to overcome. The staff had to acquire new skills that would enable them to work effectively with young people, it was necessary to learn how to involve young people in learning and working on themselves, and how to develop soft skills. We also needed to strengthen the didactic offer of our school, therefore we decided to introduce elements of Montessori pedagogy, robotics and use ICT tools in everyday work. As we see great benefits in the implementation of international cooperation projects, we want to involve as many students as possible and enable them to be mobile abroad. For this we need teachers of various subjects who are willing to speak the language enough to participate in them. In addition, we plan to introduce the possibility of learning another foreign language (French), so we needed to enable the teacher to develop his language competences.
