Objectives

During the implementation of the project, our main goal is mobility of students for foreign internships in order to undergo professional practice in the European Union countries. For students, it is an opportunity to develop professional, social and language skills. Students learn about working conditions in foreign companies and enterprises. They can compare them with those they have already met in Poland. The school, on the other hand, has permanent partners in Spain and Italy, with whom the cooperation is developing dynamically and brings new benefits. During monitoring visits, we get to know new employers and new workplaces. We have the opportunity to exchange experiences and influence the improvement of the quality of the internships. We implement the conclusions from the interviews and consultations at school during the organization of the following apprenticeships. Taking care of the comprehensive development of our students, we provide them with attractive places for professional practice. During the realization of the projects, teachers have the opportunity to take on new educational challenges and students can expand their professional competences and improve their language skills.

Background

Our school was the first in the province to start implementing Erasmus + projects, beginning with the Leonardo da Vinci. Every year, a group of young people studying at a technical college goes to take part in foreign internships. Students follow a program of apprenticeships in the EU countries. By applying for another project in 2019, we aimed to improve the opportunities and career prospects for our students, and to ease their entry into a labor market other than the domestic one. Another important reason was to promote the school as an institution that cares about the development of students, creating opportunities for them to work in foreign enterprises and improving their English language skills. Appropriate promotion of project activities improves the recruitment process to our school. The possibility of foreign apprenticeship goes up the attractiveness of our departments and acquired professions. With each implemented project, the school becomes more attractive and popular. Surveys conducted among students and parents prove that internships increase the appealing of vocational education in our school and contribute to the intensified learning of foreign languages. Since 2020, the school has been Accredited in the Vocational Education and Training sector.
