Objectives

The intention of CEZ was to improve the quality of vocational education through internships organized in cooperation with a Spanish partner. The project aimed to develop and improve the professional, linguistic and social skills of the participants in an international context. The implemented mobilities allowed students to: - gain work experience at an early stage of vocational training - get to know foreign work environments - learn about industrial innovations - develop interpersonal skills - improve language skills through communication in the work environment - obtain certificates confirming acquired skills - get to know the history and culture of Spain. The implementation of the above objectives was to make the student aware of the opportunities of the European market and the need to open up to the market. It was also supposed to make the young man, the future employee, aware of what actions are necessary to find a job in the future. The exemplary organisation of internships in Spanish companies helped to achieve these goals. The project also enabled us to meet the needs of the school in order to increase the innovativeness of vocational education to improve the school image in the local environment as a school of positive choice.

Background

Centrum Edukacji Zawodowej in Stalowa Wola has been actively participating in the Erasmus+ program since 2018 and the rationale for applying for another project was both to continue participation in the Erasmus program and to achieve the overarching goals set out in the European School Development Plan, i.e. - improving the quality of school work by raising students' professional, social and linguistic competences - preparing young people for the labor market through internships abroad This is due to the fact that students very often report the need for an internship abroad. They know how important it is to develop not only professional skills but also social and linguistic ones. We are aware that the systematic implementation of projects has a big influence on improving the quality of school work. Moreover, the popularity of our school in the region is growing thanks to the Erasmus+ mobilities. Young people are interested in internships abroad and willingly engage in project activities. Through the implementation of projects, we want to give students the opportunity to get to know not only the European labor market, but also the culture, traditions and history of the host country.
