Primary project objective was gaining practical knowledge regarding innovative tools, which could create new fields of study, launch state-of-the-art technologies and improve the quality of school work. Scheduled student internships were designed by partners so that they could be based on deep commitment of their participants and could let implement freshly acquired knowledge and skills. The project is to influence the attractiveness of vocational education in accordance with new technologies. Apart from specific content, computer programming skills, construction and service of drones, robot programming as well as designing and creating electrical installations, students will develop self-motivation skills, realize the value of feedback and learn how to build an efficient goal-oriented team. Participants will be confronted with group coaching and will have an opportunity to measure their own skills regarding team leadership, cope with new challenges and implement newly learned methods and techniques. Students will obtain certificates confirming their knowledge and skills, which will let them build their future vocational portfolios.
Implementation of the project ensured the improvement of work performance in the areas indicated by the school management, students, teachers, parents as well as employers, all in preparation for European projects. It has enabled the continuity of previous student and staff activities in European dimension, which, in turn, has been a starting base for school development and modernization. The project has been addressed to students and teachers from Polytechnic School Complex in Głogów as a response to a growing demand of the labour market for technical specialists who lack practical experience of working in an international team. While applying for the project, a few planned activities were taken into account. All of them were to focus on the deep commitment of its participants solving real and specific problems and, thus, acquiring innovative knowledge and skills in the fields of programming, robotics, mechatronics and electrics. One of the major project objectives was to deepen cooperation with current partners who had extensive experience in working with modern tools and including a large amount of students and teachers in their unique training programs.
