Foundation as consortium lider set itself the goal of implementing its mission more effectively, based on the experience of people involved and supporting the development of competences in everyday work, with the aim of providing institutional and material support to entities that care about ensuring the appropriate level of vocational education. The main goals of the project were: -increasing the mobility of students of consortium schools thanks to participation in foreign internships, which contributed to the improvement and acquisition of skills in the catering industry, -a total of 44 participants participated in mobilities (40 students and 4 accompanying persons), -development of key competences and skills of 40 students as part of internship mobility, -raising the level of key competences, -increasing the capacity, attractiveness and international dimension of school education consortium, -raising the level of language skills of mobility participants, -increasing employment opportunities not only in Poland, but also on the European market, -raising awareness of the need for lifelong learning, -increasing the sense of entrepreneurship and broadening horizons through the need to find oneself in a new work environment.
The consortium leader, as the applicant organization, has correctly implemented and fully settled the projects under OP KED and the Erasmus+ programme. The Foundation also successfully implemented a similar project where it was the leader of a consortium under which students (mechanics and mechatronics) from 3 vocational schools (from Augustów, Kolno and Łapy) had the opportunity to participate in foreign internship mobilities in Lithuania with this proven partner. In this industry, the Foundation also implemented a project as a consortium leader, where 2 schools of the consortium (from Łapy and Wysokie Mazowiecki) supported students of 3 different professions (mechanic, agricultural mechanization and agrotronics technician, and refrigeration and air conditioning technician). As part of the GASTROTECHNICY project, we decided to interest 2 new schools and changed the professional profile to include gastronomy, in which the Foundation has experience through the project of exchange of good practices (molecular gastronomy) in Erasmus+ Key Action 2. The idea to include this industry in the support provided by our Foundation for Podlaskie schools was born after the Foundation launched the Regional Gastronomic Center in 2017.
